GCCI Executive meets with Dominican Republic Commercial Council

Members of the Executive Management Committee (EMC) of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), on Thursday, October 5, met with Mr. Alexander Sarante, Commercial Council for the Dominican Republic Embassy in Guyana.
Accompanying Mr. Sarante was the Trade Specialist at the Embassy, Leonida Minalla, while present from the Chamber were President, Mr. Kester Hutson and Secretary, Mrs. Kathy Smith. Senior Vice President, Mr. Richard Rambarran, joined the meeting virtually.
The meeting was held to invite members of the GCCI to an upcoming Strategic Business Rounds session, and to discuss collaboration between the Embassy and the GCCI to push alliances between businesses from the two countries, with a focus on businesses in the food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetic sectors. This meeting comes following the GCCI’s participation in a high-level delegation from Guyana which visited the Dominican Republic in August.
