GCCI and Diversity

The Georgetown Chambers of Commerce and Industry serves as a crucial and trustworthy bridge between the public, business, and government, and it represents large multinational enterprises as well as local, regional, and small businesses.

The GCCI benefits from the diversity of its membership and works to take advantage of the influence and connectivity of the chamber network to improve the economic empowerment of women and other underrepresented groups in the global workforce. This is done through activities and projects involving local, regional, national, bilateral, transnational, and public-law and private-law chambers of commerce.

The Chamber has been around for more than 133 years and currently offers a wide range of services and initiatives to help trade and development in Guyana. Today, that role includes promoting diversity and inclusion as a driver for positive social and economic change.
