GCCI attends PSC Texas-LA Bilateral Chambers Business Luncheon

Secretary of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Mrs. Kathy Smith, represented the Chamber at the Texas-LA Bilateral Chambers Business Luncheon, which was held by the Private Sector Commission on Tuesday, November 14, at the Duke Lodge.
Held in partnership with the Louisiana District Export Council (LDEC), a non-profit, private-sector advisory board based in Louisiana, USA, the Luncheon was part of a trade mission to Guyana by the Bilateral Chamber, a federal contractor for the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), which visited Guyana from November 12 – 16.
Founded in 1997, the Bilateral Chamber is a global business community focused on fostering economic growth, educational advancement, and cultural understanding. At the forefront of global commerce, the organisation is widely recognized as a cross-industry expert and resource, strengthening international cooperation by advancing collaborative economic and commercial solutions founded on the principles of mutual respect and understanding.
Tuesday’s Luncheon was attended by a number of local business support organizations, and individual businesses that were able to network with the over 19 US businesses that were part of the trade mission. Keynote speech for the event was delivered by Minister within the Ministry of Public Works, the Honourable Deodat Indar, while remarks were also delivered by Mrs. Aida Araissi, CEO, of the Bilateral Chamber of Commerce.
