GCCI Supports the Ministry of Agriculture’s World Food Day Exhibition 2022 !

The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) supported the Ministry of Agriculture at the World Food Day Expo held at the Albion Sports Complex, East Berbice Corentyne, on Sunday, October 16, 2022.

The chamber remains cognizant of the importance of the agriculture sector to Guyana’s growth and development, particularly food security.

Undeniably, climate change has brought about challenges for the sector. The chamber intends to work with the Ministry of Agriculture and its related agencies towards adopting climate-resilient measures to ensure food security.

Other initiatives undertaken by the chamber include seminars that will be beneficial to agricultural businesses in areas such as; access to finance, business planning techniques and accessibility to incubator services.
