GCCI met with Zulu Investments

On July 10, the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) met with Zulu Investments, a Mexican company with over 20 years of experience in enterprise that is looking to explore business opportunities in Guyana.
President of the Chamber, Mr. Kester Hutson and Senior Vice President, Mr. Richard Rambarran who attended virtually, met with Zulu Investments’ Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Guillermo Garcia, President, Luis Cerda, and Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Manuel Martinez.
The company expressed an interest in establishing a business in Guyana that addresses several industries, which include Energy, Infrastructure, Foreign Trade, Technology and Banking. They disclosed that they are ready to invest US$20 million and want to work alongside the GCCI to execute same. The team also indicated their desire to establish operations in a timely basis as they see themselves being a bridge between Mexico and Guyana.
Mr. Hutson welcomed the interest of the company and expressed his optimism surrounding the venture and committed to providing any guidance needed. Similar sentiments were also expressed by Senior Vice President, Mr. Rambarran.
Mr. Hutson also highlighted that the GCCI is looking to build a relationship with Mexico as it relates to trade and the transfer of skills, noting that the intention is to create linkages between companies in Guyana and Mexico.
