GCCI Elects New Council at its 131st Annual General Meeting
The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) hosted its 131st Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, via the Zoom and Election Runner digital platforms.
During the Opening Session of the meeting, remarks were delivered by His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, Honourable Oneidge Walrond, Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, and outgoing President of the GCCI, Nicholas Deygoo-Boyer.
Following the dissolution of the GCCI’s 2020/2021 Council, elections commenced for the new 2021/2022 Council.
The following members of the Chamber were elected as the new Council of the GCCI for the year 2021/2022:

The Chamber’s newly elected Council will convene its first Statutory Council Meeting within one week to elect a new Executive Management Committee (EMC). The EMC comprises a President, Senior Vice President, Junior Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.
