Vacancy: Calibration / Instrumentation Technician

We are interested in hiring One Senior and One Junior Calibration Technician. Though preferred, candidates may not be required to have a degree if they have previous technical background experience that qualifies them to be considered for Senior and Junior level calibration positions. Candidates should be optimistic, dedicated, hard-working, able to multi-task, able to work overtime and possibly 24-hour call. Candidates should have leadership qualities but be attentive to instructions and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment while learning a new skill.

Description Overview:

  • Must have a strong background in all fields and disciplines of Calibration and Metrology.
  • Must have in-depth, detailed knowledge of the metrology, mathematics, and applicable technical disciplines required to perform the described duties.
  • Must be able to create measurement uncertainty budgets for high-level standards and prepare Calibration certificates.
  • Must know how to use the following different calibration software as well as troubleshoot any related software issues.
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and especially Excel.
  • Must be proficient in reading electrical schematics.
  • Must have a clear understanding of analytical troubleshooting.
  • Must have the initiative to start and follow jobs through to completion.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the calibration of electronic/mechanical equipment.
  • Electrical and/or mechanical background experience
  • The ability to explain measurement theory and measurement traceability to other TEAM MEMBERS.
  • Knowledge of developing test jigs and fixtures.
  • Knowledge of developing special test setups for calibration of new or special purpose equipment.
  • Knowledge of Calibration of Pressure, Thermal, Electrical & Weighing, Linear Equipments.
  • Pressure testing using water or nitrogen as the test medium
  • Basics of Valve Testing and Calibration. (Overhauling Expertise would be preferred).
  • Knowledge or experience doing valve repair and refurbishment

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma / B-tech / ITI Course in Instrumentation / Metrology / Electrical Testing.
  • Training and Certification in a related field would be preferred.
  • Driver’s License preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to pass a medical fitness test
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test and random drug and alcohol test
  • Excellent vision and hearing (Glasses for correction accepted)
  • Covid vaccinated
  • Able to work offshore
  • Ability to read and write English fluently
  • Ability to swim in order to pass Bosiet training (Helicopter Underwater Survival Training)
  • Ability to travel by helicopter
  • Ability to travel by boat
  • Ability to work overtime and 24-hour call
  • Ability to work weekends
  • Attentive to detail
