I am the founder of SAKS Makeup Artistry, and I have a long association with the performing arts. I studied dance abroad and performed with a Latin dance group in Guyana, I was also the hostess of local shows like “Greetings from Guyana to New York”, “Fiesta Latina” before I entered the corporate world which lead to me many amazing opportunities.

The experience of being in front of a camera, has given me an insight into what it takes to maintain flawless makeup, notwithstanding intense lighting, anxious openings and heated studios.

My zeal and talent for makeup artistry has always been there, I enjoyed experimenting with makeup trends, and for many years was the unofficial style consultant for family and friends; even while I took time off to raise my two beautiful daughters and became a full time stay at home mom.

My optimism and enthusiasm has earned me A+ Honors in Makeup Artistry from The International Association of Professions Career College. I’ve also been able to earn practical certification from some of the best Makeup Artists in the Caribbean/Latin America over the years.
