Mr. Paul Archer
Councillor
Mr. Paul Archer is a qualified Insurance and Risk Management Specialist with over 30 years of experience in Guyana and Canada.
He is a Managing Partner with Youngs Insurance Brokers in Ontario Canada and Lead Consultant in Guyana with Loss Control and Risk Management Guyana, which offers enterprise-wide risk management solutions along with insurance coverage assessments.
He is a member of the Risk Management Institute and Ontario Risk and Insurance Management Society. Mr. Archer migrated to Canada in 2003, but re-migrated back to Guyana in 2022, encouraged by Guyana’s burgeoning economy. Motivated by the developments in the country’s energy sector, Mr. Archer saw the opportunity to use his expertise to contribute to the development of Guyana.
Mr. Archer has been involved with the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) since 2021. He is the Chairperson of the Security and Governance Committee and has also served as Vice Chairman of the Chamber’s Agriculture Committee.
As a member of the GCCI Council, Mr. Archer is looking forward to contributing to the building out of improved relationships between member companies and advocating with government regulatory agencies and other private sector bodies for a conducive business environment.
