GCCI meets with Director of Canada/Guyana Chamber of Commerce
President of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Kester Hutson, on Thursday, February 1, met with Director of the Canada Guyana Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Rita Sookrit, to discuss strengthening relations between the two agencies.
Mr. Hutson noted that the GCCI looks forward to working along with other organizations for the holistic development of the local private sector. He emphasized the GCCI’s push for collaboration and partnerships between businesses.
The meeting came ahead of a planned visit to Guyana by Ms. Sookrit, which is scheduled for later in February. Launched in 2020, the Canada Guyana Chamber of Commerce is a non-partisan institution set up to promote and facilitate investment and trade between Guyana and Canada and other countries.
