GCCI meets with Brazilian delegation to discuss investment opportunities

President of the GCCI, Mr. Nicholas Deygoo-Boyer, accompanied by senior representatives of the Chamber, met with former Senator of the State of Roraima, Brazil, Dr. Romero Jucá, Ambassador of Brazil to Guyana, Lineu Pupo De Paula, and a delegation of investors from Brazil.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss opportunities for investment in Guyana. The delegation expressed an interest in investing in the areas of housing construction, industrialization of primary products, logistics, transportation, agricultural production and service provision.

The GCCI assured the delegation that Guyana is open for business in all sectors, and committed to working closely with the Embassy of Brazil in Georgetown in order to facilitate information sharing relating to investment opportunities.
