GCCI meets Carbyne Capital Investments Limited (CCI) Representatives

On November 30, 2022, the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) met with three (3) representatives from Carbyne Capital Investments Limited (CCI). Founded in 2016 in Kingston, Jamaica, CCI is enabling Small and Medium Sized-Enterprises to access larger markets both domestically and internationally by eliminating barriers to access finances and overcome cash flow challenges.

Mr. Rajiv Ebanks, Director and Co-Founder of CCI noted that the company is seeking to invest in the financial services business in Guyana, with a particular interest in the factor market. He added that the purpose of the visit was to explore existing opportunities for supply chain finance through Non-traditional financial products.

Highlighting the demands of the oil and gas sectors, Mr. Ebanks expressed that CCI is interested in understanding the challenges faced by Guyanese entities and seeing how best the agency can support them through the provision of their financial solutions to the market. The company will also cater to other linked sectors that are upscaling as a result of the oil and gas sector.

GCCI has been at the forefront of advocating for access to finance and more instruments for borrowing and welcomes institutions committed to facilitating access to finance.
