GCCI Engages Diaspora Unit on Strengthening Private Sector–Diaspora Linkages
On September 25, 2026, the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) hosted a courtesy meeting with Ms. Rosalinda Rasul, Head of the Diaspora Unit at the Ministry of Affairs and Internal Co-operation, in the Chamber’s boardroom.
The Chamber’s Senior Vice President, Mr. Gavin Ramsoondar, led discussions focused on collaboration and engagement between Guyana’s private sector, government agencies, and the diaspora.
The meeting provided an opportunity for an exchange on diaspora engagement, investment and business opportunities, as well as ways to further strengthen connections between Guyanese abroad and the local business community.
Discussions also touched on the importance of ensuring that members of the diaspora and prospective investors can access practical and reliable information when exploring opportunities to invest, establish a business, or contribute to Guyana’s economic development.
