GCCI engages agro-processors and producers to export produce regionally through H.E Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali’s initiative
Through an initiative of His Excellency, Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, Guyanese producers and agro-processors now have the opportunity to market their produce regionally. The President has sourced markets for locally made products that will be exported to Trinidad and Barbados to be distributed by Ansa McAL.
On December 9, President of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Mrs. Kathy Smith, and Junior Vice President, Mr. Brian Edwards met with several agro-processors and producers of local products, and connected them to the Ministry of Public Service, Efficiency and Implementation so that they can benefit from this programme. The businesses were able to learn more about the objectives of the initiative and requirements, and register for participation.
