Senior Vice President of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Mr. Richard Rambarran, on Thursday, October 19, attended a Corporate Finance Solutions Event held by Surinamese bank, FinaBank.

GCCI Member Theon Alleyne also attended the event, which was held at the Duke Lodge.

During the event Mr. Rambarran interacted with Chief Executive Officer, Eblein Frangie and Chief Commercial Officer Almar Giesberts, welcoming them to Guyana and informing them of the great opportunities in Guyana for financial institutions given the growing needs of the private sector as the country continues to exponentially expand.

The corporate meeting was Finabank’s first event in Guyana. With many of the bank’s Suriname clients setting up businesses in Guyana the institution is looking to expand its services and products in Guyana, to service existing and future clients. During the event presentations were done sensitizing about the Bank, what they could offer to possible clients in Guyana. The event also involved a workshop component where the bank focused on garnering information about the banking market in Guyana.
