Amongst the exponential development and investment that the oil and gas industry has and continues to bring to Guyana’s economy, the GCCI remains cognizant of Medium, Small & Micro enterprises’ integral role in the sustained development of our country.
We understand that business visibility plays a major role in the survival of any business and is an aspect that proves challenging to MSMEs.
To this end, the Entrepreneurship and Small Business Committee launched on Wednesday, March 16th, its Inaugural National Small Business Week (NSBW) initiative under the theme “Shop Small for a Big Impact!”
The NSBW is a week-long event that is geared toward raising awareness for Micro, Small and Medium Businesses within the GCCI membership. The aim is to provide platforms for MSME entrepreneurs to highlight their businesses, deals and bargains they have to offer to boost their performance, build brand awareness and foster professional connections that can lead to future partnerships.
The National Small Business Week will see a number of events happening from the 8th of April, 2022 until the 16th of April, 2022.
The week’s activities will commence with a networking cocktail for executing partners, sponsors, participants and a number of relevant special invitees.
On Saturday April 9th, 2022, the Small Business Expo will be executed, where the involved businesses will be able to highlight their products and services in an exhibition format. This expo will be taking place at Parc Rayne, Rahaman’s Park and will be open to the public from 12:00 noon to 6:00pm. Members of the public are encouraged to attend the expo and support all participating businesses.
