From the boardroom to the business community, the conversation about stronger labour laws continues.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Labour and Manpower Planning met with representatives of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry as part of its ongoing review and modernization of Guyanaโs labour laws.
The discussions examined private-sector experiences with compliance, the business environment, women-owned businesses, SMEs, entrepreneurship, and equality in employment, along with recommendations to improve clarity, compliance support, and dispute avoidance.
The consultations continue to ensure that diverse stakeholder perspectives inform the development of a modern, responsive labour framework.
