Executive Members of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) paid a courtesy visit to Her Excellency Nicole Theriot, Ambassador of the United States of America to Guyana, to explore areas of mutual collaboration across key sectors.
Discussions included local content and developments within the energy sector for local business participation.
The meeting further explored opportunities in agriculture-focused enterprise development and technical training. Additional dialogue focused on import and export facilitation, the development of crop insurance mechanisms, and advancing human capital development through workforce training, innovation, and targeted capacity-building initiatives.
In attendance were GCCI President Kathy Smith, Senior Vice President Gavin Ramsoondar, Junior Vice President Brian Edwards, Treasurer Melisa McRae George, Secretary Kristia Ramlagan-Prescott, and Executive Member Richard Rambarran.
