About Us
Volunteer Youth Corps Inc. was founded in August of 1996 and launched on December 14, 1996. Volunteer Youth Corps, carrying the acronym ‘VYC’. VYC is a voluntary, non-governmental, education and social development organization that operates under the Theme: ‘Caring for Humanity.’
The nature and scope of the organization’s work represent its approach to addressing the myriad health, social and economic problems that affect young people in Guyana. It highlights the importance of a holistic approach to youth development and embraces the highly tested notion that involving the youth as active partners influence positive health and social outcomes.
