Mr. Timothy Tucker is a former President of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), serving two consecutive terms from 2021 to 2023. Mr. Tucker was most recently appointed as an Ex-Officio member of the Chamber’s Executive Management Committee (EMC). During his years with the Chamber, Mr. Tucker held various positions, including Junior Vice President, Senior Vice President, and Chairman of the Trade and Investment Committee. His presidency was characterised by staunch advocacy for local content, access to finance and the removal of regional non tariff barriers.

With nearly three decades of experience in the private sector, Mr. Tucker’s involvement with the Chamber began in 2015 through his role as CEO of Rid-O-Pes Inc. He was first elected as a member of the GCCI Council in 2016 and first elected to the EMC in 2017. He served as the chairman of the Trade and Investment Committee from 2018 to 2021, overseeing the launch of the Business Development Forum during his tenure.

Mr. Timothy Tucker has demonstrated an impressive trajectory at Rid O Pes since 1995, beginning as a pest control technician and ascending to the role of CEO of the company his father established. Adapting to shifts in the economy, he has diversified services to include sanitisation amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and has ventured into wildlife services, aligning with evolving market demands. His forward-thinking vision has propelled the company’s expansion both locally and regionally, exemplified by the establishment of a branch in Lethem and the acquisition of the Orkin franchise for Guyana and Suriname, renowned as a global leader in pest control. Notably, Mr. Tucker has effectively represented Rid O Pes at esteemed international conferences such as Pest World.

Mr. Tucker is also part owner of Sandip Waste Management Solutions Inc., and Fraites Guyana Inc, which is a subsidiary of Fraites Caribbean Limited, a distributor of cleaning products and equipment. Fraites Guyana Inc. is the sole distributor for over 18 brands including National Chemical Laboratories, the largest chemical manufacturer in the East Coast in the USA.
