GCCI Teenternship Programme 2024 || Aaliyah Loaffe learns to navigate the office environment at Beharry Automotive Limited
As the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) ‘Teenternship’ Programme 2024 continues, the ten students have completed two days at their respective placements. On August 20, Councillors of the GCCI visited Ms. Aaliyah Loaffe, a fourth form student of Camille’s Academy, who is undertaking her internship at Beharry Automotive Limited.
The GCCI team comprising President, Mr. Kester Huston; Treasurer, Mr. Brian Edwards; Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Entrepreneurship and Small Business Committee, Mrs. Evie Kanhai-Gurchuran and Ms. Natasha Waddle, and Chairperson of the Membership and Diversity Committee, Mrs. Kristia Ramlagan-Prescott took the opportunity to encourage Ms. Loaffe to fully utilise the opportunity that she has received.
Ms. Loaffe shared that she has enjoyed the Teenternship journey thus far, noting that she has so far worked alongside the Human Resources and Sales Departments, assisting with filing documents while learning to navigate the office environment. She is excited to complete the programme and learn more about the company’s operations.
