GCCI Receives Courtesy Call from British High Commissioner to Guyana, Her Excellency Ms. Jane Miller OBE
On Monday, October 4, 2021, the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) received a Courtesy Call from British High Commissioner to Guyana, Her Excellency Ms. Jane Miller OBE. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr. Sherwyn Naughton, Country Director for Trade & Investment at the Department for International Trade, British High Commission.
Both parties discussed opportunities for strengthening commercial ties between Guyana and the United Kingdom (UK), identifying areas of commercial interest in the tourism, financial, security, and extractive sectors, among others. Further, the GCCI and the British High Commission both agreed to work closely to increase business opportunities in both countries by sharing market information and facilitating networking opportunities.
The GCCI looks forward to continuing a positive working relationship with the British High Commission as both parties work towards the mutual goal of improving trade relations between the UK and Guyana.
