GCCI participates in consultation on amendments to Sexual Offenses Act
The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry on July 3, participated in the National Stakeholders Forum on the amendment to the Sexual Offenses Act. Councillor Priyanka Sookraj represented the GCCI at the consultation which provided an opportunity for the perusal of and feedback on the proposed amendments. Among the proposed amendments is the updating of the provisions for legal protection for victims and the judicial processes for sexual offenses.
