GCCI discusses strengthening relationship with ODITC
President of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Mr. Kester Hutson, on Thursday, January 25, met with a group of management representatives from ODITC, led by General Manager, Mr. Alan Sharp.
Also present at the meeting were ODITC Business Development Managers, Ryan Bissessar and Ryan Deoraj. Discussions at the meeting regarded a mutual desire to strengthen the relationship between the two agencies. Mr. Sharp expressed the ODITC’s inclination to support the Chamber and be more proactively involved in activities, particularly in the area of HSSE. Mr. Sharp noted that the ODITC plans to make contributions by joining the Chamber’s HSSE and Construction Committee.
Mr. Sharp also discussed ODITC’s desire to work along with the GCCI to offer a unique discount on courses to fellow GCCI members. The company is also working along with financial institutions to craft various payment packages for the courses. Mr. Hutson commended this initiative, noting that ODITC’s suggestion to offer members a discounted rate fits into an upcoming “Member to Member” discount programme that the GCCI is currently working on to bring added benefit to members.
Mr. Hutson expressed the Chambers full support to ODITC and its effort to contribute to the development of the private sector community through its GCCI membership. The two sides agreed to collaborate on the organization of a webinar that will sensitize members about ODITC and the benefits they could garner through their GCCI membership.
