About us

Historically, and almost traditionally, timber posts have been used universally for suspending and supporting electrical, telephone and internet cables in the Energy Sector. This followed the introduction of aluminium and galvanized poles more specifically for street lighting on highways and roads. Of course, timber has a short life span and requires frequent replacement involving significant capital investments. Aluminium/galvanized poles, although having a longer life span, have some disadvantages relating to their availability in Guyana, the prohibitive costs and susceptibility to corrosion.

The concrete posts are cast in a prepared prefabrication yard using steel moulds that are oiled and cleaned to deliver a smooth concrete finish that is aesthetically acceptable.
Within the mould, allowances are made to facilitate electrical cabling for streetlights and grounding. To complement the posts, concrete reinforced cross arms are manufactured for receiving transmission or distribution cables.
