The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) today engaged the Caricom Youth Ambassadors who are part of the Caricom Single Market and Economy (CSME) Attachment Programme.

The Ambassadors are currently on an official visit to Guyana, and Chairperson of the Entrepreneurship and Small Business Committee, Mrs. Evie Kanhai-Gurchuran delivered a presentation to the delegation on entrepreneurship.

Mrs. Kanhai-Gurchuran, in the interactive session, iterated the need for understanding the market and demand, as well as the importance of mentorship and strong support systems. She also provided insight into Guyana’s local content requirements and some of the requirements for establishing businesses in Guyana.
