Starbucks, the renowned global coffeehouse chain, has expanded its footprint in Latin America and the Caribbean region by opening its first location in Guyana. During the opening ceremony, President Ali highlighted the significance of Starbucks’ decision to invest in Guyana, stating that the move was a testament to the market opportunity that the country offers. He noted that Starbucks, being a company that carefully selects its markets based on development and market requirements, would only invest in Guyana if it saw potential for growth and expansion.
