GCCI Hosts Inaugural Breast Cancer Awareness Walk
The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), hosted its inaugural Breast Cancer Awareness Walk for its members and the Private Sector in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness month on October 30, 2022.
The walk commenced at the Bank of Guyana, continued along Main Street and concluded at the Seawall Bandstand.
During his address, GCCI’s President, Mr. Timothy Tucker, highlighted that the walk was indeed a momentous occasion for the Chamber and emphasized the importance of raising awareness for breast cancer as well as the need to support cancer survivors and remember those who lost the fight to breast cancer.
GCCI would like to extend profound thanks to all Private Sector entities and members who came out in their numbers to support this initiative.
Also, special thanks to Boxhill Company Enterprise Inc. and AquaFina Water & Ice Inc. for donating beverages.
The Chamber plans to add the Awareness walk to its annual calendar of events.
