GCCI donates to Ministry of Culture’s West Tigers Ground upgrading project
The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) was pleased to make a donation to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport last Friday, which will aid the rehabilitation of the West Ruimveldt Community Ground, better known as the Western Tigers Ground.
The Chamber sought to partner with the Ministry on the upgrading project which is a government initiative and has been in discussion with the Ministry on the necessary rehabilitation needed for the facility for quite some time. The cheque was handed over by our Executive Director, Mr. Richard Rambarran to the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Mr. Charles Ramson.
The GCCI intends to remain engaged with the Ministry on the upgrading project as community development is a key interest of the Chamber.
