GCCI’s Managing for Development Results (MFDR) Workshop to Nonprofit Orgainzations in Guyana
On Tuesday, August 23, 2016, The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) began to host its three (3) day workshop on “Managing for Development Results (MfDR) for Members of the National Coordinating Coalition in Guyana, facilitated by GCCI’s Executive Director, Ms. Krysten Sewett.
The objectives of the workshop is to equip participants with knowledge and understanding of key MfDR tools based on international practice
Managing for Development Results (MfDR) is a management strategy that focuses on using performance information to improve decision-making. It involves seven (7) steps, guiding a project from beginning to end:
- Stakeholder Analysis-Who are We?
- Problem Analysis – Where are we now?
- Objectives Analysis – Where do we want to be?
- Objectives Design – How will we get there?
- Risk Management – What may stop us getting there?
- Indicators and Data Sources (Monitoring, Review and Evaluation: How will we know if we’ve got there?
- Work & Resource Planning – What do we need to get there?
