DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to inform you that the Minister of Natural Resources\, Hon. Vickram Bharrat\, will be presenting on the Gas to Energy project\, an initiative with significant implications for our nation’s energy landscape to the members of the GCCI on Friday\, October 13\, 2023\, at 1pm in the GCCI Boardroom. In addition to Minister Bharrat\, Dr. Martin Pertab\, Director of the Local Content Secretariat\, will share valuable insight on the issue of local content. \nThe primary objective of the GTE project is to transport sufficient gas from the petroleum operations on the Stabroek block to supply some 200-250 megawatts of energy to the national grid. This endeavor promises a substantial reduction in electricity costs\, making it a pivotal development for our nation. \nWe look forward to hosting an engaging and informative session.
