The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), the Executing Agency, through the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), wishes to identify consultants to assist the GCCI in implementing the project Enhancing the Capacity of Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Guyana.
The project aims to enhance the managerial, technical, and operational capacity of micro, small and medium-sized (MSMEs) in Guyana, thereby contributing to their increased productivity, profitability, and competitiveness. The GCCI intends to set up a registry of local consultants who are willing to serve on the local CTCS project to provide a variety of consulting services to MSMEs as needed. Initial targeted areas include but are not limited to agro processing, film making, beekeeping (apiculture), tourism and hospitality, marketing, advertising, accounting and finance.
The duration of the project is expected to be for a period of three years.
The GCCI now invites interested eligible individuals and consulting firms to submit expressions of interest for the provision of consultancy services indicating their qualifications and experience.

Expressions of Interest must be submitted in English and electronically by email to firstname.lastname@example.org in pdf format. The email subject line should state “Expression of Interest – Enhancing the Capacity of Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Guyana” and the email body must state the name and address of the applicant. The Expression of Interest will be deemed to have been received at the time that it is received by GCCI. The burden of proving receipt of the e-mail will be on the applicant and will not be met solely by a read receipt or sent items report generated by the Consultant’s computer.
In the event of an assignment, individuals and firms shall be assessed and compared, and the best qualified and experienced individual(s) or firm(s) shall be selected. Only selected individual(s) or firm(s) shall be asked to submit a combined technical and financial proposal for assignments and, if such proposal is responsive and acceptable, be invited to negotiate a contract. GCCI reserves the right to accept or reject unsuitable applications or to cancel the present invitation partially or in its entirety. It will not be bound to assign any reason for not selecting any applicant and will not defray any costs incurred by any applicant in the preparation and submission of Expressions of Interest or technical and financial proposals.
